Painters will agree that you should always aim to paint in the part of the year when it’s least likely to rain, has low humidity, and when the temperatures are above 50 F. Rain can wash wet latex paint off a wall, and temps that are too low can affect the way the paint sticks to the walls. Some painters will add additives to the paint if working in very high temperatures to slow down the drying time. House Painting Broomfield Colorado
You can expect to pay between $700 to $3,000 to paint wood siding. You’ll end up spending $1 to $3 per square foot, but typically you’ll find this material is cheaper than brick or vinyl. Wood requires some type of sealant, be it paint, stain or oil. Lumber takes well to a wide variety of coverings giving you endless options for modern, contemporary or classic looks. Some things to consider when choosing wood:

I have a few properties and I always call Kamco for any work I need for the roofs or any leaks and odds and ends that the properties may need. They are very responsive! They are prompt and reasonable with their price. They are a very busy company but always make time even if you must wait a few days it’s worth it because they are great at what they do. I have been using them for over 7 years and am very happy! Thank you Kamco Family!
Expect to pay between $600 to $3,500 or $1.25 to $3 per square foot to coat vinyl, with prices likely increasing for the finish. It is one of the more inexpensive siding materials to have repainted, especially with recent innovations in materials. Changing the finish on your siding is not recommended unless it's completely degraded and worn away by the weather. You can save nearly half the vinyl siding installation cost of $4 per square foot by painting rather than replacing. Before adding a new coat to vinyl siding,
“In our estimation, M. Brett excelled in the three areas that define a reputable painting company; Price, quality of workmanship and the professionalism of its work crew. The job was completed on time and at the contracted price. The prep work and actual painting was completed to a high standard. Lastly, the work crew was outstanding. They displayed a collective pride in what they did. Again, many thanks and well wishes!” Broomfield House Painting

Our second recommendation is to have quality prep work and 2 coats of paint done. While it will cost 30-40% more upfront, you will have to pay that one time, and it will last 10 years or more. If you do not do these two items, your paint job may last 3-4 years, and you will have to pay even more second time around, as by then, your wood siding will have even more rot, so the prep work and rot repair will cost even more, on the second round. A moisture meter will let your contractor know if there’s moisture in the stucco before starting. The wetter the material, the less ready it is to be sanded, painted, finished or covered. Your contractor will use a premixed stucco repair patch material to fill any small holes and will paint on dry days to avoid sealing in water. Painting rough stucco requires more paint. Brush painting stucco costs $112 per 100 sq. ft., roll painting costs $55 per 100 sq. ft., and spray painting stucco costs $25 per 100 sq. ft. House Painting Broomfield CO
Miguel Tapia the owner was outstanding. He promptly followed up his initial proposal and we reach an agreed upon price. His crew was hardworking, neat and professional. I was impressed with their prep work as the took the old paint down to the wood base. They painted around numerous flower beds without disturbing anything. I was so impressed with their work, I had them repair and paint some wooden shingles on various areas of the siding of my house. Very pleased with the work and the cost.

A single gallon of paint can run anywhere from $20 to $80 per gallon. Professionals get a contractor discount of anywhere from 25 to 50 percent. For rough siding, like stucco, you’ll need to use 10% to 20% more paint. Some textures, like wood and stucco, require extra paint because they have more surface to cover in a tiny area compared to smooth siding. Use the highest quality exterior paint your budget will allow for your project. It will look the nicest and save you money by offering better coverage and durability. Better coverage means fewer coats and fewer work hours. You’ll also go a few years longer without needing to shell out more cash for a new coat. How do you know how much paint you're paying for? Here's some helpful math: House Painting Broomfield CO
We first used Paul for painting our complete home interior ten years ago when we found him on Angie's List. He did such a good job that we subsequently used him for exterior painting, cabinet resurfacing and more interior painting. His company has grown to include more services and we will certainly be using him more often as our needs change and as our home ages. We heartily recommend Paul!
It’ll cost you between $500 and $1,000 to paint the exterior yourself. Not including paint, it’ll cost you no more than $200 to $300 at a home improvement store like Home Depot, Lowes or Menards. You may end up spending more if you buy high-quality products from specialized shops. Professionals can get the same supplies for about half what you’ll pay. Broomfield House Painting

I can't say enough great things about Saints of Paint. They went above and beyond my expectations in every possible way. They painted the entire interior of my house and the work that they did was perfect, thorough, and very reasonably priced. Not one detail was missed. On top of that, each member of the team is very friendly, honest, and considerate.
Recent Review: Very happy with the end product. We worked with Josh and he was excellent in explaining and answering questions throughout the project. He, the deck, paint & roof crew were very professional & courteous. Work spanned over a period of 5 days. Only complaint is the punctuality of when crew showed up vs when they said they will. Not a big deal but would have been great if they were punctual. Overall extremely satisfied with the finished project. Broomfield House Painting
Step 6: House Difficulty or job complexity identify how cut up or straight your house is, and may also include ease of access, existence of dormers / towers, random crown moldings, and other decorative wood, etc. Most cape / ranch / raised ranch and colonial homes with typical geometry and relatively easy access should be classified as simple or medium difficulty.
Tipping house painters is good etiquette. You can base the tip on the size of the crew, and request the amount to be evenly divided. Or, you can leave a tip based on the size of the job and leave it up to the foreman to decide how it is distributed among the crew. Sometimes — especially with big projects — the painters on the job change during the course of the project, so it’s often customary to leave one tip for the whole job. Broomfield House Painting
It is vital to estimate the cost of a painting job before starting it. Estimation of the painting job is not so easy; you need proper planning to accomplish this task. If you don’t know how to bid, then you are not perfect for this job. An accurate estimation helps to gain the trust of the customer and enhance your market value. For that purpose, you need a tool that is a perfect fit for the painting estimation. It is a way to describe the cost of the painting to the client. Before estimating, understand the things that go into the estimation, like how much you need paint, what is the value of the painting, the cost of the labor, and the price of the other material like paint tape, masking paper, brushes, and roller?

I hired a painting company to paint my house and garage. Price was about $5,000.Sherwin Williams paint T-1000. When he was questioned about the paint peeling two days after he painted the garage he quit even with a contract not a very professional person. So,now I have to find someone else to paint my house. After 3 weeks of them trying to paint around the rain. The original time frame was 3-4 days.Yes 3 weeks and all that got done was a small two car garage that could have been done in two days.I know he did not prep correctly and properly I will end up having to redo the garage. I went to Sherwin Williams and got the colors. So beware even with a contract and good references.

Our number one suggestion, is to hire a LOCAL small-to-medium size, owner operated painting contractor! These painters will give you the best quality at reasonable prices! Big contractors ALWAYS hire sub-contractors (your local painters) and you end up paying the Local Price + Big Company Overhead & Profit + Salesperson’s Commission, which is typically 100% more that you would otherwise pay to the local owner-run outfit. Prep work should include removing all loose paint, either with a pressure washer or by scraping; removing any trace of mildew using bleach and water or a commercial solution, and sealing or covering dark stains; caulking all seams, corners and around windows or trim; applying epoxy filler to repair serious woodwork problems; covering dark stains; sanding all rough surfaces, and priming the bare wood with a bonding primer.
Recent Review: Riverside Painting did an excellent job from start to finish. Even though the house was only 6 years old, the exterior paint was cheap builders grade quality and was peeling from the trim in several places. The quality of RP's painting surpassed my expectations. I had 3 quotes from different paint companies and theirs was the lowest and conducted themselves more professionally than the others. One of the other companies did not care to observe measures to safeguard not only their health but mine and my families health. I appreciate that RP wore face masks while in the house. They were on time, got the job done and cleaned up nicely afterwards. I have no complaints. I will be using them again when we get ready to paint the other interior rooms. Bernie is a con man. I contracted All about the House Painting and Remodeling to build a porch with a roof on the front of the house, extend the roof over the patio on back, extend the garage roof and install new shingles on both buildings. He was also to paint the exterior for a nice fresh look to the exterior. I paid for all materials ($10,000) and rented a dumpster($700). I gave him a check for $5,000 to pay his labor costs. I would also pay Bernie another $5,000 when the garage and house roof were shingled. At the completion of the job I would pay him another $5,000 plus any extra costs. I was told this would be a 3 week job. He started by first unloading construction debris from his previous job into my rented dumpster. The crew (2men) worked for 3 days 6hrs. each day the first week. Then came the excuses (valid or not) of why they had to be somewhere else the next week. Showing up sporadically made us (my wife and me) a bit nervous but Bernie assured me all was good. Showing up sporadically also gave us plenty of time to inspect the work being done. We both noticed things did not look good. I talked with the crew foreman when they showed up and he did redo quite a bit of the porch and the garage roof. I'm in construction , I know things happen so it will be ok, I hope. Time to shingle the house and when I get home they're finishing up the roof shingles on the house. Good, Things are finally moving forward after many delays. Problem with the roof. Roofers installed ridge vent that I had bought with out cutting the opening in the plywood. Bernie Shows up a few days later and he wants $2,000. Not exactly in the payment schedule. I ask him about the ridge vent not being correctly installed. This is when the friendly Bernie turned into angry Bernie. I wasn't prepared to give him $2,000. His crew did come back and they installed the ceiling on the porch. It was poorly installed. It was extremely wavy. He showed up the next week with his 14-year old son to do work. I told Bernie the ceiling needs redone before Bernie and his son can work on the back deck. Bernie became angry again. And in front of his son and crew and myself stormed off of the job saying"this is not a good fit". Several days go by and I call him to get the status of our contracted work. Bernie was cordial and said they'll be back. The crew showed up, Alonzo the foreman looked at the porch ceiling and took it down saying "I can't leave it like that". Bernie once again asked for money. I agreed and called home to my wife and have her give Bernie a check for $5,000. Bernie came to the house to get the check. My wife told me of his crude sexual innuendo that made her feel uncomfortable. Very unprofessional to say the least, more like sexual harassment. That was the last I saw of the crew. Bernie blocked my phone calls and texts. The new roof was leaking and I was blocked. I called another roofer told him the situation. He came and looked at the roof and said "you use my phone to see if you're being blocked. Sure enough Bernie answered the phone. I asked him if he was going to repair the leak on the new roof. After a little back and forth Bernie went insane.. In front of the other roofer with the phone on speaker Bernie lost it. He called me "************" and threatened violence. I handed the phone back while Bernie was screaming obscenities. It has now been 7 months since I contracted with Bernie and All About The House. My project is halfway complete. The new roof leaks. I am now doing the work myself. I regret hiring Bernie and All About the House Painting.

If you have two weeks, a ladder and some experience, this makes an excellent DIY project. On most surfaces, it is forgiving of mistakes and easy to work with. Correcting mistakes only adds more time and not much more expense. However, a professional will get it done faster and with a better finish. If you don’t have 2 to 3 weeks to spare, find a professional painter near you today.

Most of a projects price is the cost of labor at $25 to $75 per hour. However, most contractors bid out based on the entire project which includes all work hours. Hourly rates are only useful if your pro asks to do the job as “time and materials.” However, be wary of this pricing structure, it usually shows the contractor is uncertain how long the project will take.
