This was a wonderful experience. Peter Smith is professional and expert in his assessments and knowledge. During our initial meeting he answered most of my questions before I asked them. This is quite an accomplishment as I ask a lot of questions. Products used were high quality. Before work began, Peter said that punctuality is key. The teams arrived about 15 minutes prior to starting each work day. His teams were skilled, meticulous in their work, and responsive to any questions or comments. Cleanup at the end of each day was impeccable. They completed the job less than an hour ago. Their excellent work has restored the appearance of my house. Peter Smith is responsive to one's comments whether email, phone or in person discussion. I have high standards and am pleased with the fine results and good value and therefore recommend Peter Smith Painting.

Bernie is a con man. I contracted All about the House Painting and Remodeling to build a porch with a roof on the front of the house, extend the roof over the patio on back, extend the garage roof and install new shingles on both buildings. He was also to paint the exterior for a nice fresh look to the exterior. I paid for all materials ($10,000) and rented a dumpster($700). I gave him a check for $5,000 to pay his labor costs. I would also pay Bernie another $5,000 when the garage and house roof were shingled. At the completion of the job I would pay him another $5,000 plus any extra costs. I was told this would be a 3 week job. He started by first unloading construction debris from his previous job into my rented dumpster. The crew (2men) worked for 3 days 6hrs. each day the first week. Then came the excuses (valid or not) of why they had to be somewhere else the next week. Showing up sporadically made us (my wife and me) a bit nervous but Bernie assured me all was good. Showing up sporadically also gave us plenty of time to inspect the work being done. We both noticed things did not look good. I talked with the crew foreman when they showed up and he did redo quite a bit of the porch and the garage roof. I'm in construction , I know things happen so it will be ok, I hope. Time to shingle the house and when I get home they're finishing up the roof shingles on the house. Good, Things are finally moving forward after many delays. Problem with the roof. Roofers installed ridge vent that I had bought with out cutting the opening in the plywood. Bernie Shows up a few days later and he wants $2,000. Not exactly in the payment schedule. I ask him about the ridge vent not being correctly installed. This is when the friendly Bernie turned into angry Bernie. I wasn't prepared to give him $2,000. His crew did come back and they installed the ceiling on the porch. It was poorly installed. It was extremely wavy. He showed up the next week with his 14-year old son to do work. I told Bernie the ceiling needs redone before Bernie and his son can work on the back deck. Bernie became angry again. And in front of his son and crew and myself stormed off of the job saying"this is not a good fit". Several days go by and I call him to get the status of our contracted work. Bernie was cordial and said they'll be back. The crew showed up, Alonzo the foreman looked at the porch ceiling and took it down saying "I can't leave it like that". Bernie once again asked for money. I agreed and called home to my wife and have her give Bernie a check for $5,000. Bernie came to the house to get the check. My wife told me of his crude sexual innuendo that made her feel uncomfortable. Very unprofessional to say the least, more like sexual harassment. That was the last I saw of the crew. Bernie blocked my phone calls and texts. The new roof was leaking and I was blocked. I called another roofer told him the situation. He came and looked at the roof and said "you use my phone to see if you're being blocked. Sure enough Bernie answered the phone. I asked him if he was going to repair the leak on the new roof. After a little back and forth Bernie went insane.. In front of the other roofer with the phone on speaker Bernie lost it. He called me "************" and threatened violence. I handed the phone back while Bernie was screaming obscenities. It has now been 7 months since I contracted with Bernie and All About The House. My project is halfway complete. The new roof leaks. I am now doing the work myself. I regret hiring Bernie and All About the House Painting. Broomfield Home Painting
Supplies and Equipment – Scraping, sanding, and stripping tools and supplies; patching compound; power washer rental; primer; caulk; masking supplies; painters’ tape; ladders and scaffolding; paint pans; brushes, sprayers, and roller brushes all cost money, even if you do it yourself. Consider all of those tools and equipment sitting in your garage for the rest of your life vs. paying an experienced painter to do it all for you at a price that saves you weeks of time. Expect to pay $5–$6 per 100 sq. ft. for supplies and materials. Broomfield House Painting
It’ll cost you between $500 and $1,000 to paint the exterior yourself. Not including paint, it’ll cost you no more than $200 to $300 at a home improvement store like Home Depot, Lowes or Menards. You may end up spending more if you buy high-quality products from specialized shops. Professionals can get the same supplies for about half what you’ll pay. Broomfield House Painting
"This is a highly professional company! All the workers I had contact with were so nice -- it was a pleasure doing business with them and the I am very happy with the resulting improvements they made for me. I asked for a custom built radiator cover and had some molding installed around my fireplace hearth and also a bathroom painted. The work was completed on schedule and their fees are very reasonable. In July of this year a ***** window screen was damaged and disposed while Prism House was painting our home. The owner agreed to replace the screen but they first tried making it themselves. Unfortunately however, this screen is so ill fitting and poorly made that it won't even stay in place without duck tape. The owner was made aware of the situation and agreed to order an exact replacement from *****. After no follow through by Prism House, I worked with ***** and then forwarded the order forms/information to them in earlier September. At this time, the owner said he would order the screen. No screen has been ordered and Prism House remains unresponsive. The second issue that I am looking to resolve is one of moisture bubbles that appeared on our side door - as soon as the exterior painting was considered complete. I have reached out the Prism House Painting repeatedly via phone, email and text message regarding both of these issues.…Read More Broomfield Home Painting
