All the workers I had contact with were so nice -- it was a pleasure doing business with them and the I am very happy with the resulting improvements they made for me. I asked for a custom built radiator cover and had some molding installed around my fireplace hearth and also a bathroom painted. The work was completed on schedule and their fees are very reasonable. Chalking is identified by the fine chalky powder that forms on the surface of a paint film. Although some chalking is a normal way in which paints self-clean when exposed to the sun and rain, excessive chalking can indicate paint failure. In dry arid climates where there is little rain, chalking can become excessive. Chalking is actually the paint pigment released by the paint binders that have been broken down by exposure to the weather. Chalking is especially common with very light-colored flat paints, especially lesser quality oil-based paints containing high levels of pigment extenders. When chalking gets severe, it may run off and stain the surrounding construction. House Painting Broomfield Colorado

Under the blistering exposure to sun, frequent soakings by rain, and radical temperature shifts, the paints that cover exterior siding and trim surfaces face some of the most demanding conditions possible. Modern paint chemistry makes today's paints remarkably adept at handling these situations, and the house surfaces that once required painting every two or three years can now sometimes go a decade before they require repainting. But under certain conditions—or when the preparation or application has been less than ideal—there are a number of common problems that occur with exterior paint jobs. Understanding the origins and solutions for these ten common problems will help you address them quickly and avoid them in the future.

While vinyl siding salespeople claim it never needs to be painted, it does lose its color strength over time, and the degree of fading can vary depending on which sides get the most exposure to sunlight. Perhaps it still hasn’t faded, but you don’t like the color much. You can’t go any darker than its current color, though, because the siding is designed to absorb only so much heat, and a darker color could cause it to buckle. Vinyl paint is available in many colors. Brush painting and roll painting vinyl siding costs $43 per 100 sq. ft., and spray painting costs $34 per 100 sq. ft.
A single gallon of paint can run anywhere from $20 to $80 per gallon. Professionals get a contractor discount of anywhere from 25 to 50 percent. For rough siding, like stucco, you’ll need to use 10% to 20% more paint. Some textures, like wood and stucco, require extra paint because they have more surface to cover in a tiny area compared to smooth siding. Use the highest quality exterior paint your budget will allow for your project. It will look the nicest and save you money by offering better coverage and durability. Better coverage means fewer coats and fewer work hours. You’ll also go a few years longer without needing to shell out more cash for a new coat. How do you know how much paint you're paying for? Our number one suggestion, is to hire a LOCAL small-to-medium size, owner operated painting contractor! These painters will give you the best quality at reasonable prices! Big contractors ALWAYS hire sub-contractors (your local painters) and you end up paying the Local Price + Big Company Overhead & Profit + Salesperson’s Commission, which is typically 100% more that you would otherwise pay to the local owner-run outfit.

The crew arrived on time, but did not bring a pressure cleaner with them. The insurance company clearly stated the charges for pressure cleaning before painting and I had confirmed this with the sales person. I went ahead and let the crew paint the trim without pressure cleaning and then found out that they did not have the custom paint color for the trim. The sales person had even taken a sample of the paint with him. The head painter (Angel) then left to get the paint while his assistant continued to prep and paint what he could with the paint they had. After a few hours I called the office and they said that Angel was still getting the paint. The assistant finished and ended up sitting on the front porch waiting. I had called the office again after a couple of hours as was told that Angel had gone back to their office in Plano to get the paint. I work in Plano and it only takes 45 minutes each way. Angel did not  return for 5 - 1/2 hours. They finished up and I had to reschedule them to come back out and pressure wash/paint the metal roof. Angel did pressurewash and complete the painting in a few hours.
Painters will agree that you should always aim to paint in the part of the year when it’s least likely to rain, has low humidity, and when the temperatures are above 50 F. Rain can wash wet latex paint off a wall, and temps that are too low can affect the way the paint sticks to the walls. Some painters will add additives to the paint if working in very high temperatures to slow down the drying time. House Painting Broomfield CO

Don't hesitate to ask all the questions you need to feel comfortable hiring a professional. You can also ask 3-4 professionals to make sure you have the right quote in mind. You must make sure they have a warranty or some kind of paperwork stipulating the quality of their jobs. Insurance is also a #1 priority to consider, as damage can happen in the process of painting.
