The crew arrived on time, but did not bring a pressure cleaner with them. The insurance company clearly stated the charges for pressure cleaning before painting and I had confirmed this with the sales person. I went ahead and let the crew paint the trim without pressure cleaning and then found out that they did not have the custom paint color for the trim. The sales person had even taken a sample of the paint with him. The head painter (Angel) then left to get the paint while his assistant continued to prep and paint what he could with the paint they had. After a few hours I called the office and they said that Angel was still getting the paint. The assistant finished and ended up sitting on the front porch waiting. I had called the office again after a couple of hours as was told that Angel had gone back to their office in Plano to get the paint. I work in Plano and it only takes 45 minutes each way. Angel did not  return for 5 - 1/2 hours. They finished up and I had to reschedule them to come back out and pressure wash/paint the metal roof. Angel did pressurewash and complete the painting in a few hours.
“M. Brett Painting just completed a commercial painting job for me at a major retailer. Being an out of state Property Manager, sometimes you have to rely on gut feelings and trust when contracting someone to do work that you are not going to be around for. M. Brett Painting was so easy to work with from obtaining the bid all the way through the completion of the job. When I visited the site a couple of weeks after completion and saw the quality of work without me looking over their shoulder, I was EXTREMELY pleased. I will definitely use them again when the need for any painting job I need competed in the area.”
A moisture meter will let your contractor know if there’s moisture in the stucco before starting. The wetter the material, the less ready it is to be sanded, painted, finished or covered. Your contractor will use a premixed stucco repair patch material to fill any small holes and will paint on dry days to avoid sealing in water. Painting rough stucco requires more paint. Brush painting stucco costs $112 per 100 sq. ft., roll painting costs $55 per 100 sq. ft., and spray painting stucco costs $25 per 100 sq. ft.
Get estimates from several contractors, request and contact references, search for complaints at the Better Business Bureau[12] and check that the company is properly bonded and insured, as well as licensed in your state[13] . Only pay a small deposit, and don't pay the entire amount until the job is finished to your complete satisfaction (both painting and cleanup).
Once you find a painting pro you want to hire, be sure to have a detailed contract that includes the scope of work and prices for all materials and paint that is being used. Find out how many coats of paint will be applied as well as the brand of paint that will be used. Most decent painting pros will use quality brands like BEHR or Sherwin Williams. The contract should also spell out the time frame to complete the project and as well as set up clean up details. Broomfield Home Painting
"I hired Master Painting to fix a mess left by a previous painter who i would not recommend. Francisco Camacho willingly did this job (no one likes to clean up someone's else's mess), came quickly as I needed this kitchen done correctly before the holidays, and charged a very fair price to do it right. He is giving me an estimate for additional painting and I very likely will hire him." Broomfield House Painting
Before you start a painting job either on the interior your home, or the exterior, you’ll need to estimate how much paint to buy. There are various factors to take into consideration when deciding how many gallons of paint to buy for your project. You’ll need the square footage of the area that needs to be painted, while keeping in mind that doors and windows require a different type of paint from the walls. Broomfield Home Painting
Budget for $600 to $2,000 for 250 square feet up to around 1,000 square feet. Expect to pay approximately the same costs as repainting vinyl siding. Angie's List suggests two coats to achieve at least 10 years of fresh color. Hardie siding — fiber cement siding — has a baked-on paint finish, but the manufacturer suggests repainting after routine cleaning no longer restores the original color to your satisfaction. Supplies and Equipment – Scraping, sanding, and stripping tools and supplies; patching compound; power washer rental; primer; caulk; masking supplies; painters’ tape; ladders and scaffolding; paint pans; brushes, sprayers, and roller brushes all cost money, even if you do it yourself. Consider all of those tools and equipment sitting in your garage for the rest of your life vs. paying an experienced painter to do it all for you at a price that saves you weeks of time. Expect to pay $5–$6 per 100 sq. ft. for supplies and materials.
Our second recommendation is to have quality prep work and 2 coats of paint done. While it will cost 30-40% more upfront, you will have to pay that one time, and it will last 10 years or more. If you do not do these two items, your paint job may last 3-4 years, and you will have to pay even more second time around, as by then, your wood siding will have even more rot, so the prep work and rot repair will cost even more, on the second round.
