Supplies and Equipment – Scraping, sanding, and stripping tools and supplies; patching compound; power washer rental; primer; caulk; masking supplies; painters’ tape; ladders and scaffolding; paint pans; brushes, sprayers, and roller brushes all cost money, even if you do it yourself. Consider all of those tools and equipment sitting in your garage for the rest of your life vs. paying an experienced painter to do it all for you at a price that saves you weeks of time. Expect to pay $5–$6 per 100 sq. ft. for supplies and materials.
"Paul and his team are awesome. Always available for questions, open to suggestions, communicates via text messaging. Paul and his team were flexible enough to accommodate the paint scheduling around when our contractor was done with parts of the home. His team came in multiple times to paint and sometimes repaint (our bad paint choice). They did a really great job of doing accent walls and the kids love their room! I am going to work with Paul on an ongoing basis on projects beyonding painting in my home. Would recommend Paul any day." Broomfield Home Painting
Phillips Painting showed up a little late, but still at a reasonable time and went to work, finishing the job in one day as quoted. The repair team had equipment available to cut the James Hardie siding to size. The repair work fits in well with the existing siding. I will include Phillips painting in our group of potential contractors when we are ready to have the whole house painted. Especially since I know they can handle any necessary repairs prior to the painting job. Broomfield Home Painting

Exterior paint averages $25-$40 a gallon, and a 3,000-square-foot home takes 15 or more gallons of paint, or $375-$600 just for the paint. However, really premium paint can cost $50-$100 a gallon, or $750-$1,500 for that large home. Doing it yourself also requires renting a pressure washer or sprayer for $50-$100 a day; extra-long ladders or scaffolding at $20-$75 daily; and a power sprayer for $50-$100 daily, plus masking tape, drop cloths and other supplies. However, it's possible to paint a large, two-story house for materials-only costs of $400-$600.
Now the next step is to determine the cost of the color. If you know how much paint you’ll require for a specific measurement, then it is easy to estimate the cost of the paint. The price of a gallon of paint is between 10-15 dollars, but it varies according to the quality of paint. The cost of the paint depends on the quality or brand of it. A good paint must have all these characteristic:
Peeling paint is a very common paint problem that can be caused either by moisture or poor adhesion. Peeling due to poor adhesion is characterized by the paint peeling and separating from an earlier paint layer (intercoat peeling) or from the substrate, leaving some paint behind. Sometimes, portions of earlier paint layers are visible under the curling, peeling paint layer. Broomfield Home Painting
Repainting a room or even the entire home is one of the most popular DIY remodeling projects. This is because many budget conscious homeowners would rather spend time and effort to paint their house then spend $2,000+ on a professional paint job. The truth is you can easily save 50-60% off the cost of professional painting if you go the DIY route.
The crew arrived on time, but did not bring a pressure cleaner with them. The insurance company clearly stated the charges for pressure cleaning before painting and I had confirmed this with the sales person. I went ahead and let the crew paint the trim without pressure cleaning and then found out that they did not have the custom paint color for the trim. The sales person had even taken a sample of the paint with him. The head painter (Angel) then left to get the paint while his assistant continued to prep and paint what he could with the paint they had. After a few hours I called the office and they said that Angel was still getting the paint. The assistant finished and ended up sitting on the front porch waiting. I had called the office again after a couple of hours as was told that Angel had gone back to their office in Plano to get the paint. I work in Plano and it only takes 45 minutes each way. Angel did not return for 5 - 1/2 hours. They finished up and I had to reschedule them to come back out and pressure wash/paint the metal roof. Angel did pressurewash and complete the painting in a few hours. House Painting Broomfield Colorado
Summer is the busiest time of the year for painters, with some booked up to six months ahead of time, so book well in advance. Homebuyers getting VA loans have run into difficulties with this, so if you’re getting a VA renovation/rehabilitation loan, get all your painting and inspection estimates and work dates booked before you fill out any paperwork with a closing date, or the house will not be move-in ready in time. Wood is probably the most time-consuming when it comes to preparing it for paint. It has to be scraped and sanded until there isn’t a single chip or bit of loose paint in sight. Brush painting and roll painting wood siding costs $43 per 100 sq. ft., and spray painting costs $34 per 100 sq. ft. House Painting Broomfield Colorado

- Go for neutral colors. Every person has their own color preferences, so there is no point in trying to impress with the trendiest hues of the current year. Instead, go for time tested, classic and neutral colors, such as beige, taupe, cream, shades of grey, off white. If you want to add more color on an accent wall, shades of blue, green, or warm earth tones always have a nice general appeal.
You might pay an additional $1 to $5 per square foot for optional repairs and updates. Consider having your molding, trim and baseboards checked while you have a professional in your home. This might be a good time to upgrade or repair any cracks, warps or other issues. Pros can usually touch up or replace these items for an affordable rate, and they may even package such fixups with your project. House Painting Broomfield Colorado
