Don't hesitate to ask all the questions you need to feel comfortable hiring a professional. You can also ask 3-4 professionals to make sure you have the right quote in mind. You must make sure they have a warranty or some kind of paperwork stipulating the quality of their jobs. Insurance is also a #1 priority to consider, as damage can happen in the process of painting.

Budget for $600 to $2,000 for 250 square feet up to around 1,000 square feet. Expect to pay approximately the same costs as repainting vinyl siding. Angie's List suggests two coats to achieve at least 10 years of fresh color. Hardie siding — fiber cement siding — has a baked-on paint finish, but the manufacturer suggests repainting after routine cleaning no longer restores the original color to your satisfaction. You’ll spend between $500 and $3,000 or $1 to $3.50 per square foot to paint concrete. However, expect to pay $2 to $7 per square foot since concrete almost always needs a coat of primer first. Double that price if the concrete requires stripping. Concrete is porous. Sealing it not only helps blend foundations and walls with your home’s aesthetic, but also seals it against water. Repairing or resurfacing concrete costs $300 to $500 for every 100 square feet. Broomfield Home Painting

In July of this year a ***** window screen was damaged and disposed while Prism House was painting our home. The owner agreed to replace the screen but they first tried making it themselves. Unfortunately however, this screen is so ill fitting and poorly made that it won't even stay in place without duck tape. The owner was made aware of the situation and agreed to order an exact replacement from *****. After no follow through by Prism House, I worked with ***** and then forwarded the order forms/information to them in earlier September. At this time, the owner said he would order the screen. No screen has been ordered and Prism House remains unresponsive. The second issue that I am looking to resolve is one of moisture bubbles that appeared on our side door - as soon as the exterior painting was considered complete. I have reached out the Prism House Painting repeatedly via phone, email and text message regarding both of these issues.…Read More

Exterior paint jobs depend on the house’s square footage, though the number of stories and other variables will affect the price. The cost is typically between $1 to $1.80 per square foot. A a 1,500 square foot house would cost the customer $1,500 to $2,500 and a 3,000 square foot house would cost the customer $3,500 to $4,500, according to Painting Leads.
Priming - $30–$40/hour for labor. Many of the materials above need to be primed, but not all do. If you’re changing paint colors from dark to light or light to dark, use a color similar to the top coat. That way you’re less likely to need extra coats over the standard two. Prime with a flat or eggshell paint. You can ask your paint store to add tint to the primer to match it with the top coat color. Hammer in exposed nails and spray them with a metal primer to prevent rust.
Before you start a painting job either on the interior your home, or the exterior, you’ll need to estimate how much paint to buy. There are various factors to take into consideration when deciding how many gallons of paint to buy for your project. You’ll need the square footage of the area that needs to be painted, while keeping in mind that doors and windows require a different type of paint from the walls. Broomfield Home Painting

House painting is really a hectic task. It requires managing a lot of things and also vacating the entire room. Johnston R provided me with the best and painless house painting service. Most of a projects price is the cost of labor at $25 to $75 per hour. However, most contractors bid out based on the entire project which includes all work hours. Hourly rates are only useful if your pro asks to do the job as “time and materials.” However, be wary of this pricing structure, it usually shows the contractor is uncertain how long the project will take. Step 6: House Difficulty or job complexity identify how cut up or straight your house is, and may also include ease of access, existence of dormers / towers, random crown moldings, and other decorative wood, etc. Most cape / ranch / raised ranch and colonial homes with typical geometry and relatively easy access should be classified as simple or medium difficulty. Bernie is a con man. I contracted All about the House Painting and Remodeling to build a porch with a roof on the front of the house, extend the roof over the patio on back, extend the garage roof and install new shingles on both buildings. He was also to paint the exterior for a nice fresh look to the exterior. I paid for all materials ($10,000) and rented a dumpster($700). I gave him a check for $5,000 to pay his labor costs. I would also pay Bernie another $5,000 when the garage and house roof were shingled. At the completion of the job I would pay him another $5,000 plus any extra costs. I was told this would be a 3 week job. He started by first unloading construction debris from his previous job into my rented dumpster. The crew (2men) worked for 3 days 6hrs. each day the first week. Then came the excuses (valid or not) of why they had to be somewhere else the next week. Showing up sporadically made us (my wife and me) a bit nervous but Bernie assured me all was good. Showing up sporadically also gave us plenty of time to inspect the work being done. We both noticed things did not look good. I talked with the crew foreman when they showed up and he did redo quite a bit of the porch and the garage roof. I'm in construction , I know things happen so it will be ok, I hope. Time to shingle the house and when I get home they're finishing up the roof shingles on the house. Good, Things are finally moving forward after many delays. Problem with the roof. Roofers installed ridge vent that I had bought with out cutting the opening in the plywood. Bernie Shows up a few days later and he wants $2,000. Not exactly in the payment schedule. I ask him about the ridge vent not being correctly installed. This is when the friendly Bernie turned into angry Bernie. I wasn't prepared to give him $2,000. His crew did come back and they installed the ceiling on the porch. It was poorly installed. It was extremely wavy. He showed up the next week with his 14-year old son to do work. I told Bernie the ceiling needs redone before Bernie and his son can work on the back deck. Bernie became angry again. And in front of his son and crew and myself stormed off of the job saying"this is not a good fit". Several days go by and I call him to get the status of our contracted work. Bernie was cordial and said they'll be back. The crew showed up, Alonzo the foreman looked at the porch ceiling and took it down saying "I can't leave it like that". Bernie once again asked for money. I agreed and called home to my wife and have her give Bernie a check for $5,000. Bernie came to the house to get the check. My wife told me of his crude sexual innuendo that made her feel uncomfortable. Very unprofessional to say the least, more like sexual harassment. That was the last I saw of the crew. Bernie blocked my phone calls and texts. The new roof was leaking and I was blocked. I called another roofer told him the situation. He came and looked at the roof and said "you use my phone to see if you're being blocked. Sure enough Bernie answered the phone. I asked him if he was going to repair the leak on the new roof. After a little back and forth Bernie went insane.. In front of the other roofer with the phone on speaker Bernie lost it. He called me "************" and threatened violence. I handed the phone back while Bernie was screaming obscenities. It has now been 7 months since I contracted with Bernie and All About The House. My project is halfway complete. The new roof leaks. I am now doing the work myself. I regret hiring Bernie and All About the House Painting. Broomfield Home Painting

Repainting a room or even the entire home is one of the most popular DIY remodeling projects. This is because many budget conscious homeowners would rather spend time and effort to paint their house then spend $2,000+ on a professional paint job. The truth is you can easily save 50-60% off the cost of professional painting if you go the DIY route.

IF you want to have textured walls or ceilings, expect to pay at least 50% more for the job per square foot: $6-7.5 per sq.ft. Interior paint really varies in price and quality. Cheap paint by brands like Valspar can cost as little as $20-30 per gallon for flat/matte paint. High-end brands, such as Farrow and Ball, that have very high quality pigments that don't fade overtime as well as unique colors can cost as much as $100-120 per gallon. However, you can get very beautiful results and lasting quality with middle of road, trusted brands such as Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore (sold at your local Lowe's or Home Depot). Depending the type of paint, these brands cost $40-55 per gallon. Broomfield House Painting
Under the blistering exposure to sun, frequent soakings by rain, and radical temperature shifts, the paints that cover exterior siding and trim surfaces face some of the most demanding conditions possible. Modern paint chemistry makes today's paints remarkably adept at handling these situations, and the house surfaces that once required painting every two or three years can now sometimes go a decade before they require repainting. But under certain conditions—or when the preparation or application has been less than ideal—there are a number of common problems that occur with exterior paint jobs. Understanding the origins and solutions for these ten common problems will help you address them quickly and avoid them in the future.
Staining a deck costs $540 to $1,000. Covered porches might hit $2,000. Consider negotiating the price a bit lower by combining it with a full exterior job. Painting handrails can run anywhere from $1 to $2 per linear foot, depending on whether it’s wood, metal or some other material. Although you might think this is an easy $30 to $100 job, most painters charge a minimum fee regardless of the size of the project. You’ll probably end up paying at least $150.

Choose the best quality paint you can afford; it lasts longer. Experts estimate that the outside of a house should be painted every 5-7 years, but less-expensive paint may start peeling or fading in 4 years or less while really high-quality paint will hold up a bit longer. Better Homes & Gardens[1] describes and compares the different types of exterior paint while FastFacts.com[2] reviews specific brands. Broomfield Home Painting

"Paul and his team are awesome. Always available for questions, open to suggestions, communicates via text messaging. Paul and his team were flexible enough to accommodate the paint scheduling around when our contractor was done with parts of the home. His team came in multiple times to paint and sometimes repaint (our bad paint choice). They did a really great job of doing accent walls and the kids love their room! I am going to work with Paul on an ongoing basis on projects beyonding painting in my home. Would recommend Paul any day." Broomfield Home Painting
We first used Paul for painting our complete home interior ten years ago when we found him on Angie's List. He did such a good job that we subsequently used him for exterior painting, cabinet resurfacing and more interior painting. His company has grown to include more services and we will certainly be using him more often as our needs change and as our home ages. We heartily recommend Paul!
If you’re considering adding fresh paint to the exterior of your home or garage, don’t worry about vinyl siding: it can be painted! Be sure to start with clean, dry siding (this may require pressure washing and good weather). Or, you can wash the siding with soap and water instead. But the main thing is to start with a clean, dry surface so the paint won’t peel. Be sure to select a color for the paint that’s not darker than the existing vinyl color: a darker shade will allow the siding to heat up more than it was designed to withstand. Recent Review: Riverside Painting did an excellent job from start to finish. Even though the house was only 6 years old, the exterior paint was cheap builders grade quality and was peeling from the trim in several places. The quality of RP's painting surpassed my expectations. I had 3 quotes from different paint companies and theirs was the lowest and conducted themselves more professionally than the others. One of the other companies did not care to observe measures to safeguard not only their health but mine and my families health. I appreciate that RP wore face masks while in the house. They were on time, got the job done and cleaned up nicely afterwards. I have no complaints. I will be using them again when we get ready to paint the other interior rooms. I hired a painting company to paint my house and garage. Price was about $5,000.Sherwin Williams paint T-1000. When he was questioned about the paint peeling two days after he painted the garage he quit even with a contract not a very professional person. So,now I have to find someone else to paint my house. After 3 weeks of them trying to paint around the rain. The original time frame was 3-4 days.Yes 3 weeks and all that got done was a small two car garage that could have been done in two days.I know he did not prep correctly and properly I will end up having to redo the garage. I went to Sherwin Williams and got the colors. So beware even with a contract and good references. House Painting Broomfield Colorado
